Why are Treadwall Prices Not Published?

As a global brand our Treadwall prices varry by continent and country, especially with global shipping costs and customization options for each frame style. Please contact us for the appropriate pricing information for your country.

What is the Difference Between the Kore Frame and the Max/S Frames?

The Treadwall Kore models use our Crank Frame design which changes the angle within three 10 degree angle ranges, -5 to -15, -15 to -25, and -25 to -35. Switching between angle ranges is done by use of the kick-stand provided with the unit. The Kore models have smaller frame pieces which allow for ease of installation up stairs and around corners. Kore units are warrantied for home use only and carry our 2 year residential warranty.

The Treadwall Max and S models us our Swing Frame design, which allows the user to change the angle effortlessly by simply depressing a lever and pushing the base of the wall with their foot. Max and S units are warrantied for commercial gym and residential use and carry our 6 year commercial warranty.

Which Size Treadwall Can I Fit In My Space?

The 10′ Treadwalls are designed to be used with a 10′ ceiling, the 11′ Treadwalls fit under an 11′ ceiling, and the 12′ Treadwalls work under 12′ ceilings. The 10′ Kore frames, which use a Crank Frame design, are ajustable down to fit in an 8′ ceiling for those with limited space.

Does Treadwall Have a Motor or Require Electricity?

Originally designed in 1989, the Treadwall has always featured non-motorized, gravity fed movement which allows the user to safely control the speed of the workout, while a patented brake (9 volt transformer – any wall plug) provides an auto-stop feature which aids in climbing control and cadence.

Can a Treadwall be Kept Outside?

Any Treadwall, or Boulderboard may be used outside with our Exterior Coating Upgrade which consists of a full galvinization of all metal components, the addition of stainless steel hardware, and an exterior wood treatment to the climbing panels. Units may be left outdoors year round, although a cover will help keep any debris like pine needles or dust off of the wall.

Can Any Climbing Hold be Used on a Treadwall?

Treadwall t-nuts allow for standard 3/8 bolt-on handholds to be used on all models. Holds must be no taller than 2.5″ tall off the wall to pass under the shroud at the top of the machine, and may not overlap panels vertically. Treadwall fitness offers holds sets  specifically designed to these specifications, and we also partner with hold vendors Kilter, Tension, and Nicros to offer curated sets for our equipment.

Do you Offer Installation Services?

We refer our customers to a network of third party private contractors for installation services. Please contact us for further details.

Can Children Use the Treadwall?

The minimum weight to rotate the wall is 75 lbs but an adult can assist the walls rotation for junior climbers.

Do You Sell Used Treadwalls?

We very rarley have used machines to offer as the shipping and refurbishment costs are prohibitive.

Where Can I Find Information About Product Maintenance?

Is the Boulderboard Compatible With Kilter, Moon, Tension, or Grasshopper LED holds?

The Boulderboard8 has optional t-nut hole patterns which allow for Kilter and Tension bolt-on holds and LED wire harness sytems to be used. The Grasshopper 10′ system may also be screwed onto the Boulderboard8.

The Boulderboard6 has an optional t-nut pattern for one of the Tension board patterns.

Moonboard systems require a “kicker” at the base of the wall and are therefore not compatible with any Boulderboard.
